L'area risulta perimetrata nel Piano Regionale Attività Estrattive (PRAE) come cava autorizzata ed è contraddistinta con il codice 64066_01. La cava ha una capacità estrattiva residua pari a 224.590 mc di materiale misto naturale, misto stabilizzante e pietrame. I terreni risultano censiti al Catasto Terreni del Comune di Nusco al Foglio 50: Particella 99 - Bosco Ceduo - Classe 5 - Superficie 91.532 mq - R.D. € 4,73 - R.A. € 28,36; Particella 117 - Pascolo - Classe 2 - Superficie 9.710 mq - R.D. € 4,01 - R.A. € 2,51

The land affected by the quarry extends along the foothill belt of the extreme north-western sector of Mount Caravella. It is accessed via the municipal road that branches off from Contrada Fiorentino and is passable by vehicles.
The site in question falls within Zone B of the Monti Picentini Regional Park area under D.G.R.C. No. 1539 of 24/04/2003, therefore any intervention must comply with the protection regulations of the Park.
The area is delimited in the Regional Extractive Activities Plan (PRAE) as an authorized quarry and is identified by code 64066 01. The quarry has a residual extraction capacity of 224,590 m³ of mixed natural material, mixed stabilizing material and stone.

The lands are recorded in the Land Registry of the Municipality of Nusco at Sheet 50:
