Prefabricated structure consisting of various rooms, divided to better manage the processing and catering workflow.
The structure is built on a solid reinforced-concrete foundation to create a raised screed above street level.
The screed is finished with light beige tiles, size 30x30, laid throughout all rooms of the structure.
The prefabricated unit consists of No. 3 joined bodies, distinct by use, roof covering, and materials.
Body A
This is the entrance through which the structure is accessed.
It has an overall size of approximately 7.50 meters x 10 meters.
Outside, it consists of a canopy built with wooden beams and planks, supported by iron tubular elements forming the pillars and beams of the structure.
The structure has pillars cast together with the screed, and the connections to the beams are welded.
This construction method limits the possibility of disassembling the structure into individual elements. To be dismantled and rebuilt elsewhere, specific adaptations are required.
Body A is divided into 4 areas:
The first consists of an open veranda, from which access is gained to the second area through a two-leaf French door, one of which is fixed.
The second is a room bordered by a manually roll-up roller blind, by a wall made of wooden planks through which access is gained to the third area, and by a wall made of masonry elements where there is a glass door providing access to Body B.
The third area is a passageway covered by the canopy but without external walls, currently bordered by a reed partition, which connects the fourth area, the second area, and Body B via a secondary entrance.
The fourth area is the room used as the kitchen and a restroom. It is a structure built inside Body A, consisting of a roof clad externally with terracotta tiles and internally with wooden planks; the internal walls are clad with tiles and there are No. 4 windows. The external wall is built in masonry made of solid bricks, plastered and painted white.
Body B consists of one room.
It has an overall size of approximately 7.50 meters x 12.50 meters.
The roof covering consists of No. 2 gazebos, probably with a galvanized frame and fabric cover. Inside, there is a black panel suspended ceiling and plastered walls. The exterior, on the other hand, consists of two four-leaf French doors and one single-leaf French door, installed on a masonry wall that completely conceals the gazebo structure.
Body C consists of two rooms used as restrooms, both with an anteroom.
It has an overall size of approximately 2.50 meters x 3 meters.
They consist respectively of a toilet and washbasin, with walls partially covered with tiles, glued onto the wooden battens that make up the structure of the walls and the roof above.
The structure is equipped with an electrical system and lighting system.
Considering the structural characteristics of the prefabricated unit, made by assembling several movable elements, it is noted that any dismantling operation would involve numerous activities, including the actual dismantling, the demolition of masonry works with the consequent production of construction waste to be disposed of in accordance with current regulations, as well as cutting the steel load-bearing elements, made necessary by the non-modular nature of the installation.
These operations are in addition to transport costs and any modifications and reconstruction at another site.
