Maceo Casadei (Forlì, 1899 - 1992) – "Woodcutters", 1935. Oil painting on panel, dimensions 62x96 cm, dated 1935. Rural and rustic landscape dominated by broad impressionist brushstrokes, depicting peasants engaged in transporting bundles of wood. The panel is signed "Maceo" on the front, lower right, and bears on the back, in brush, the autograph inscription "Legnaioli - OLIO 1935" with an additional signature. The work is accompanied by the official statement of the General Archive of the Works of Maceo Casadei, endorsed by the Scientific Committee, registered on 15/01/1998 with No. OUITES-544. The work is also cited in the General Catalogue on p. 60 with ref. no. 39 - ref. Q5
