The hull is evident with parts in which the antifouling paint has detached itself from earlier applied coats of the product over the years; assuming that have been applied two coats each year of life, and not by adding the last two, you can reasonably imagine that there are 10 coats of paint that require intervention abrasive for sanding means in order to be able to apply new layer of anchoring primer of new antifouling, before launching the boat.
