The plant consists of 5 Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination units with an estimated nominal capacity of 20-25 l/s, a seawater intake and pumping station, a seawater pre-treatment plant, a remineralization plant for the permeate produced by the RO modules, a system for the disposal of brines and backwash water from the dual-media filters and, finally, a lifting station for the produced water.

As stated in the appraisal report attached to the auction listing, the asset for sale is to be considered, due to its state of preservation and age, as mainly intended for material recovery/scrapping.
It is therefore specified that the plant is offered for sale in its current as-is condition, having been out of use for years and in an evident state of deterioration.

The sale is therefore also addressed to operators in the scrap/metal recovery sector, who must, in any case, carry out, at their own care and expense, the activities of dismantling, handling, loading, transport and disposal/recovery, in compliance with current regulations.
