The incision includes six "states" of working, all illustrated in the text Brigitte Baer (1988). The bull is
gradually put in more evidence, enlarged and geometrically. The incision, together with that which
the following (n. 28), it has not been used as an illustration of the text of Pepe Illo, but was created by
Picasso as an additional scene and this is defined scholars "extra or out of range". There
He describes the scene a few moments of the picador dexterity, which instigates and strikes with pica (lance) the bull.
Compared to other recordings of the series the contrasts between white and black are much more obvious, and the press is
much more experimental from a technical point of view: Picasso has in fact used different techniques on the same
slab and intervened six times before finally fixing the compositional idea.
