Etching aquatint with sugar on bevelled copper
printed on paper "Velin pour fil de Guarro" (with dual watermark)

Illustration off the cuff: engraved "out of series."

Of this incision we have been made the two "states", both illustrated in the text by Brigitte Baer (1988).
Compared to the first state, the second depends on the steps as the spectators are much more numerous, the contrasts
between sun and shade are more obvious and are specified in the plans of the plaza. In addition, the blow dealt by the picador is more
evident.
The incision, along with the previous one (no. 27), has not been used as an illustration of the text of Pepe
Illo, but was made by Picasso as an additional scene. It is in fact defined scholars "off
Additional or series ". Describes some moments of the picador dexterity impressing with pica (lance) the
bull and a bullfighter, placed in front of the animal, it instigates with the hood (the cloth). Compared to other recordings
Series contrasts between white and black are much more obvious and the press is much more experimental in
Technically speaking: Picasso is in fact spoken twice on the plate before finally fix the idea
composition.
